Fourth Date

Fourth Date is a ten-minute play directed as part of the KCACTF Region III Ten Minute Play Festival. Amanda began her analysis and prep work during the winter break before the January 2019 KCACTF Festival.

 

As a result of her work before and during the festival, Amanda received the KCACTF Region III Ten Minute Play Director's Award.

Trifles

Trifles was directed as Act I of a night of One Acts titled Pieces of Glaspell. Here, Amanda is delivering notes to three of her actors.

Her Central Production Metaphor for Trifles was that the play is a small, metal needle at the bottom of a full sewing basket.

Woman's Honor

Her Central Production Metaphor for Woman's Honor was that the play is a straightjacket that tightens every time it is struggled against.

The Man of Infinite Sadness

Directed in the spring of her sophomore year (2017), The Man of Infinite Sadness was Amanda's first 30-minute one-act. Here, Amanda is pictured with her cast.

Her Central Production Metaphor for this production was that The Man of Infinite Sadness is the reflection of a face in a puddle on a cloudy day.
